  Development of the trade name NORTE Development of the trade name CTR
1968 Manufacture of the first special cutting machines and devices for the metal processing by Mr. Erich Klessmann under the roof of the IMA Klessmann KG, founded on 15th October 1950. The activities in metal processing were executed under the trade name NORTE.  
1970

On 23rd October 1970 foundation of the company IMA-NORTE Maschinenfabrik GmbH in Gütersloh.

Construction of the first vertical and drilling and milling machines and marketing under the trade name NORTE.

 
1977 Horizontal machining centres developed and built by NORTE were marketed through the company Scharmann under the type name Scharmann Ecocut. The vertical machining centres were still marketed under the trade name NORTE.  
1981

Presentation of the new NORTE vertical and horizontal traversing

column machining centres at the EMO in Hannover.

Distribution of the entire machining-program under the trade name NORTE.

 
1993

Takeover of the NORTE program by Fritz Werner AG, Berlin.

Shift of the production of NORTE machining centres to the company Niles, a subsidiary company of Fritz Werner AG.

Foundation of CNC-Technik Rüthen GmbH. The company carries out machine tool repair services and engaged in essentially former NORTE customer service employees.
1994   Expansion of the field of services into measuring services as Laser-Interferometer and Autocollimator Measurements.
1995 The NORTE machining centres are built in Gütersloh again at company TCG GmbH, which belongs to Fritz Werner AG.

Expansion of the company around a jig manufacturing with engineering department.

Expansion of the field of services up to the general overhaul.

Manufacturing of first special machines.

1996 Further development of NORTE vertical and horizontal machining centres.
Presentation of the patented NORTE tool changer for horizontal machining centres at the EMO in Hannover.

Manufacturing first complex rotary transfer machines.

Moving into the new built factory in Rüthen.

Production area 700 m2 with 28 employees.

1999 Development and use of master slave drive. Manufacturing and delivery of the first linear transfer machine and building of further rotary transfer machines for the automotive industry.
2002 Manufacture of first special machines and production of horizontal and vertical machining centres.

Certification according to DIN ISO 9001.

Development and delivery of complex rotary transfer machines with cutting and assembly units.

Extension of the factory.

2005

CTR NORTE
Company name changed from CNC-Technik Rüthen GmbH & Co. KG to CTR NORTE Werkzeugmaschinen GmbH & Co. KG with acquisition of the trade name NORTE.
Merging of the marketing structure CTR and NORTE.

Acquisition and enlargement of the NORTE customer service incl. the spare parts depot.

Transfer of all activities from Gütersloh to Rüthen.

2006 In addition to CTR special machines, the first machining centres according to further developed NORTE constructions were delivered .
2007

Development and marketing of the first modular customized machining centres.

Extension of the production area and moving of the spare parts to the main factory.

Opening of an own steel construction and extension of the production hall.

2008 Additional extension of the production area.
Heute Production of customized NORTE machining centres and machining components by 26 employees on a production area of approx. 3500 m2.
From 1950 till today approx. 1200 machining centres and special machines were sold worldwide and the whole customer support is carried out from Rüthen now. Moreover, CTR NORTE has established itself as a regionally active service provider in the field of machine tool repairs and overhauls.
